Yeah I had one. The Cup tires sucked after 7 laps..GREASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Car needed me to play with sway bars as it understeered badly. Never got a round to it though.

I've heard that about the Cup tires.

I'm moving to the GT4 next year and plan to put the Goodyear F1 SC3 on it instead of the Cup 2's

Working on the nut behind the wheel is the best value but.... if weight loss is it I would focus on rotational mass first as you lose the weight and reduce power train losses
Not sure what all is available for this platform but in the past I’ve gone with.

Lighter Wheels (see below)
Lighter Tires (Sizing down -1 or -2 Or even reducing sidewall height, acts like a stiffer spring)
Titanium lug nuts
Carbon fiber or aluminum driveshaft
Lightweight flywheel
Lightened clutch (some made with Ti parts)
Lighter brake rotors (again only if possible as your giving up heat sink material so be careful)
Lightened half shafts
