Working on the nut behind the wheel is the best value but.... if weight loss is it I would focus on rotational mass first as you lose the weight and reduce power train losses
Not sure what all is available for this platform but in the past I’ve gone with. Lighter Wheels (see below) Lighter Tires (Sizing down -1 or -2 Or even reducing sidewall height, acts like a stiffer spring) Titanium lug nuts Carbon fiber or aluminum driveshaft Lightweight flywheel Lightened clutch (some made with Ti parts) Lighter brake rotors (again only if possible as your giving up heat sink material so be careful) Lightened half shafts |
