all road legal vehicles since the late 80 have to use PTFE fuel components. safe for e85. alot of roomers against E85 around. I use to believe them.

As far as fuel component degradation - the components are fine as we now have states mandating 15% ethanol for regular gasoline. Pretty much any car made after 2004 should be 100% ethanol safe as far as not having the ethanol dry out / rot / corrode any components.
However when storing a car for long periods of time (here we have a storage season of 5-6 months) it would be best to store it with non-oxy gasoline. The alcohol can absorb a lot of water from the atmosphere, which (1) your car will not like to run on and (2) once the water is in the tank, could cause some corrosion issues

The tanks are plastic...nothing is going to corrode. If you store your car in a climate controlled building then there isn't any issue with leaving E in the tank.

Thats what I thought . . .had some ol school family members telling my I should stay away from E85 . . .so figured I better check. Plan on doing E85 conversion and headers soon, can store it with 93 in the winter just to be safe.

If i installed the E85 kit and didnt get a tune yet can i still run regular premium? And after the tune do you have to run E85 or can you just go back and forth? I have efilive so trying to find stuff for it, seems hp tuners is more prevelant
