Your Camaro allows for charging the battery under the hood too. Either the ring lugs or spring clamps may be used. I prefer under the hood instead of going into the trunk. Let me know if this answers your question.

Charging from the front is no problem, however a jump should be done from the rear. Just my opinion.

The owners manual states to jump from the front. Even has a picture

Oh I’m sure, I just don’t like doing it from the front. I’ll amend my note that it’s a personal decision. I don’t like running high amperage through long cables.
