I've seen 2 news reports that LGR is supposed to restart next Monday.
Chevrolet.com won't verify. I was thinking of stopping by my ordering dealer today and see if I could get a confirmation.

I can't find any confirmation, but if you Google Lansing Grand River Assembly, it'll pull up the Facebook check-in, 2 people that work at the plant checked in yesterday that they were undergoing safety training. It's no solid date, but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little brighter.

I’m not placing an order. I work in an Ops/ essential group for a subcontractor that serves NASA and DOD.
During the initial outbreak, they left us alone as we aren’t located close to a hotspot. We were productive. Now that the day is approaching to bring back all the work from home folks, management is starting to drive us crazy... Too many lawyers and bureaucratic types involved now. I’ll bet deliveries are going to be very late. I would imagine the situation is even worse in a union shop. It’s getting so bad, I may just retire early. All that said, perhaps situation in Lansing is different? Maybe somebody that works at the plant can chime in? Or someone that knows somebody that works there? But my intuition is be patient. Order the car next year especially if you’re in Midwest. Might not get it before snow flies, anyway. Last edited by cooldawg; 05-21-2020 at 08:51 AM. |

You're a better man than I am. I've always had a hard time with the "I'm smarter than you" crowd...

So does that mean they are just getting things going or are they actually starting to make some cars?

According to the Facebook page, last week was cooties training. Today was official restart of production.
I still can't get any info out of chevy.com (just the same canned responses). I'm guessing it is single shift for a while like the rest of the plants. Stop by and give them the thumbs up! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lansi...35212873190742
