correct, i guess i was just saying it's state dependent. some of these OTD prices i'm seeing stated, no way their state charges that 6-9% tax. so when someone says OTD they might as well let us know what state they pay taxes in so we really know what the numbers are

Took 13 days for them to accept.

Know your facts, know what you want.
I walked up and said I want this car, this is what I will pay, call me when you wanna sell. Then leave.

Dealerships hate me but I get what I want.
This is the attitude to take. Just tell them your price... take it or leave it Mr. Dealer.

The 0% is useless because they only give that if you don't take any incentive which means the car will be msrp basically.
They are trying to dupe you into paying them full sticker. Taking the financing means you’re not eligible for any other FACTORY incentives, that doesn’t mean the dealer can’t discount the car from their own pocket. After a few million layoffs have hit the wires they will probably start loosening up.

you have to be stern with these people, OP.

you also have to be willing to hang up the phone and move on. worse you can do is sound like you're desperate or let them work you over to the point where you get frustrated.

You paying cash? If so, they will not move on their pricing. They don't make shit when you pay cash, contrary to the popular belief that cash is king.

After all is said and done, the BEST pricing I got for 1LE was still above 66k. With tax and fees it is above a 70k car still.

For ZL1 I was able to get around 61k, so with tax and fees it's like a 65-66k car.

I am still not understanding how people were able to get low 60s out the door for a ZLE including all fees... maybe this is just the wrong, but if anything I thought with this covid thing the deals would be better now.

Have to wait for big Chevy rebates. A buddy bought his 19 ZLE for either 58 or 59k (dealer had two, same price for both). I actually paid 53k for my 2018 (dealership owner was driving that and a dealership owned McLaren every day so mine had 800 some miles on it). Those were sell prices not OTD.

However neither of those deals are possible right now because Chevy isn't offering the huge rebates on them right now.
