This is the attitude to take. Just tell them your price... take it or leave it Mr. Dealer.

They are trying to dupe you into paying them full sticker. Taking the financing means you’re not eligible for any other FACTORY incentives, that doesn’t mean the dealer can’t discount the car from their own pocket. After a few million layoffs have hit the wires they will probably start loosening up.

you have to be stern with these people, OP.
you also have to be willing to hang up the phone and move on. worse you can do is sound like you're desperate or let them work you over to the point where you get frustrated.

You paying cash? If so, they will not move on their pricing. They don't make shit when you pay cash, contrary to the popular belief that cash is king.

After all is said and done, the BEST pricing I got for 1LE was still above 66k. With tax and fees it is above a 70k car still.
For ZL1 I was able to get around 61k, so with tax and fees it's like a 65-66k car. I am still not understanding how people were able to get low 60s out the door for a ZLE including all fees... maybe this is just the wrong, but if anything I thought with this covid thing the deals would be better now. |

However neither of those deals are possible right now because Chevy isn't offering the huge rebates on them right now.
