The reason the flu kills so many more people is because a lot more people are exposed to the flu than are exposed to COVID-19. Many of the people exposed to it are vaccinated against the flu and never get it despite the exposure. Nobody is vaccinated against COVID-19. Some who are vaccinated against the flu but get it anyway have reduced symptoms and severity.

If 1,000 people are exposed to and get the flu and another 1,000 people are exposed to and get COVID-19, statistics say 1 of those who get the flu will die, 10 who get COVID-19 will die. That is the problem. Along with the fact that there is no vaccine at this point. And probably more than a year before one can be developed, tested, and produced in mass quantities to sufficiently vaccinate the population.

I agree James..... until we get control, CA, IL and NY have been leaders in being proactive, and are posting signs.... seriously though, wash and keep a safe distance from the hugely vulnerable elderly

yes, working lots here too. I'm finding that although my travel is cancelled and I'm working from home the hours are crazy.....

Washed the vert yesterday and took it for a quick drive just to not make me crazy. By the time I parked it, it was yellow with pollen!!

I do not miss the weather from that area. I used to live in Lake Orion. I do miss the food in Mexican and Greek town as well as a bar in Canton.
