Go to drag racing and launching, there is a fast list for stock Zl1's. There have been some but you'll be able to see how many. Welcome to the Camaro forum.

I saw someone saying they hit a 10.95 1/4, I forget where, but I find the number suspicious since thats what the Z06 was rated at for the 1/4. If they did actually do it, it mightve been a unicorn run.

GM's claims are what can be done on an unprepped surface like the street. Put the cars on a good sticky track, with good air, and those times are easily beaten. They don't do like Dodge and claim numbers that only happen under perfect conditions with special track prep. The Z06 runs mid 10s or better stock, which falls right in line with the gain our ZL1s can see at the track.

David "17CamaroZl1" has done it more than once. I snuck in once, but have quite a few 11.0s under my belt. My heavy weight doesn't help. I'm sure other's have run 10s stock, I just think that because it's a small amount of folks who actually post on these forums, we're not getting a true representation of how many fast "hero" stock times have been run.

It can be done. I think if you're willing to go with a drag radial you'll find it's pretty easy to do.
