Everyone knows that M1 0w-40 is the right stuff... unless you are in South Florida where 15W-50 should be it.

One negative to the A10 is that we have to change the oil after significant track Miles, and it is a PITA to do.

Have to concentrate on just shifting and more maintenance.
Yes Steve, the very point of having to concentrate on the shifting, and getting it right is one of the reasons why I settled on the manual again. Driving a manual is a good skill set to have. For me, the overall driving experience is a great plus with the manual transmission. I started with a 3 on the tree so I am not going to complain about the modern manual transmissions. The A10s DCTs PDKs may quicker but for me the driving experience is detached compared to the manual transmission. I am not going to complain about being a couple seconds slower with the manual, compared to the auto. Maintenance wise, unless you are going through clutches, manual transmissions are not as complex, and cost less maintain than autos. Some of us just prefer the manual transmission.

Simple for me.....I just prefer the challenge of selecting the correct gear; period. Others might not want this distraction and choose to allow the car to do it for them, and that also ok.

Personally, I want to enjoy, perfect, and get gratification from the entire experience.

Maybe it’s a Gen X earn it vs. Millennial entitled to it thing.

Just drive & enjoy

You want to know what is it about the A10 that makes it far better than the A8 or manual? It’s the power band. The transmission seems to find the perfect gear for the task at hand. It even has a “show off” mode only a gear head would create. Hit the throttle twice and the car downshifts. This comes in handy when finding yourself next to a manual GT350 who’s raving his engine. Hit the gas twice and watch the pony tuck his tale between his legs. 😂 it’s so much fun!

You actually only have to hit the throttle once. Just a quick blip to the floor and it drops to the best gear for a roll race at that particular speed.

This is called "Performance Shift Mode" and works exactly the same way on the A8. No one' s denying the superiority of the A10, but let's not get carried away.

Oh, don't say "superior".

A joke so inside, that I may be the only one who gets it.
