Has anyone seen the tire temp read above "WARM"
I have personally seen... COLD COOL NORMAL WARM I wonder if there is a HOT or something like it.

Same here. As a new 1LE owner, I'd love to know how it's reading temps. Change in pressure over time maybe?

I know it only from other cars.
In other cars there is no temperature sensor in the rim. The temperature is a calculated value from the change in tire pressure. I guess we have exactly the same process. Therefore you don't have any values as it is calculated and by this has the possibility to not be totally correct. |

Temp isn't a calculation based on pressure. There's an air temp sensor on the TPMS. I attached a screenshot of Cosworth temp/pressure data from when I got a puncture on track as proof; pressure is dropping as temp is still rising.

Interesting. I had no sensors in my race wheels for awhile but wasn’t sure about readings so I put them in to be sure. Mostly to be sure the abs and EDiff was operating properly. Besides I use a gauge and temp gun and know where the tires work best psi wise for autocross.

I would've happily paid $500 more if we could've gotten a system that reads/logs brake temps and tire temps akin to what a lot of BMW M cars have.

Reviving an old thread rather than start a new one. I know someone else posted on here that they got WARM as a reading on their dashboard. I have never seen anything above NORMAL even after driving for an hour about 70mph.
The manual states that NORMAL means the tires are ready for normal driving (not spirited) It also says that WARM means that the tires are ready for action and spirted driving. I guess my tires are never ready for cornering and spirited driving even in the summer? Or does this WARM reading happen only at the track? |
