Agreed.

Thank you. The car is a lot of fun, but I still plan on buying a few more mods.

Modding never gets old.

For the record, GM doesn't own the DSSVs, those are Mulitmatics's tech, in the same way Ford doesn't own the Fox's.
We keep bringing the ZR2 up because its an example of what GM is willing to do when it comes to building an off-road truck. If they're willing to do all that for a mere Colorado, why on earth would they half ass it with the Silverado if/when they decide to compete head to head with the Raptor?

I think the real question is why has it taken so long for Chevy to consider a true off road capable Silverado?

They're too busy producing more exciting CUV's that comprise ~97.8% of their lineup.

Bhobb is making my point. I have nothing bad to say about GM/s 1/4 off-roaders...so I will apologize if that wasn't clear.

Their 1/2 ton offerings are a different story. My entire point was I hope they get it right and blow the Raptor out of the water.

No different than expecting the 760hp GT500 to beat the much cheaper ZL1 given so much extra time to R&D. Both the GT500 and the GM ZR2 1/2 ton will be a disappointment if they don't exceed their current competition by a significant margin.

That's typically the way pattern bargaining works. The UAW picks a strike target, usually the one they think they can get the most from. Then they make a deal and force it down the throats of the other two with minor modifications. Odd as it sounds, most years, companies want to be the strike target. Then they don't have to deal with some ridiculous provisions that somebody else agreed to <cough***Jobs Bank***cough>

Apparently GM offered to keep D-Ham and Lordstown running in the new contract.
