What really "kills" you with the manifold snout is the transition, going from 95 mm to 93 mm (adapter), to 89 mm (manifold). Those are two consecutive square step-downs (ridges if you will), that drop pressure. We are working on an adapter and manifold mod that will take care of this transition. |

I must say, I tried it on a base corvette and it looked as if it would be very difficult, so I did not really force it much. Maybe the Camaro has a different duct, larger or more flexible perhaps. Thanks, Blue. Good to know. |

Any modifications needed for stock LT1, like a ported intake?

One only needs the inlet duct to fit TB, the adapter to fit manifold, and a tune most likely.
For a better driving experience and more power at low to part throttle, nothing else is needed. For more power at WOT, then yes, the more the merrier. Clean up the airflow path from the filter to tailpipe, and everything in between, every little thing you can do counts, especially if you supercharge it. Thanks, |

I didnt think of the throat opening, good catch. I was actually nervous about that step down transition with disrupting airflow. Where the spacer meets the tb and where the tb meets the manifold That's fantastic news that you guys are working on the spacer as well. It looks and sounds like it will help very much and get thr most out of this setup. Great r&d guys, cant wait to see that one as well! This pic is a stock zr1 tb, to an adapter, then to a stock intake manifold opened up a smidge. So people know what we are talking about.

Is the issue with the surging of the ported stock size eliminated? See concern with people who use them, not slinging mud just asking.

The surging already exist in some manual cars with stock TB's. Some members are posting and they do not mention whether they have one of ours or not. In cases where the customers have one of ours we have sent them a replacement one (custom). Unfortunately, not all cars will accept the same amount of modification most cars will, and we have to customize (at no cost) a TB for those. No customer has ended up with a throttle body they do not like, or an empty pocket. Also, please bear in mind that this is a very small percentage that we are not even sure they have one of our TB's. The vast majority of our customers are very happy with it, but naturally, those having issues are more active posters and that may relay the wrong perception of our products. Simply put, you'll be whole no matter what. Every single customer will have a TB they love or all their money back, you don't even pay return shipping. Sincerely, |
