The zl1 is discounted because they make tons of them so anybody can get one. They don’t discount the gt350 because there limited built, especially the R. Anybody with sense would be smart enough to know better.

When Ford can make a GT500 that can beat a car that costs over $20,000 less, then I'll be impressed. Until then, Ford makes the shittiest performance vehicles on the planet. They are completely outperformed at every turn. They have more problems than a schizo hypochondriac tripping on acid. And they cost soo much that not one of their fans can afford one. The GT500 is already a disappointment. Over $90K and it can't go faster than 180 MPH. My ZL1 and Hellcat both were $20K cheaper and can hit 200 MPH. That says it all right there. That car is going to be an utter disappointment.

You leased a car based solely on objective data that you don’t possess the skill or guts to replicate, chose not to drive the Shelby based on that objective data and can’t seem to understand that people who drive cars for a living have deemed the Shelby the better car in terms of driving experience and that is backed up by thousands of buyers who have handed dealers more than MSRP for the pleasure of driving the Shelby knowing it’s faults.

Secondly and get this through your head, you don’t “let me talk” here.

Do they lease Shelby’s?

I would have no trouble buying a GT350 below msrp.

With regard to ZL1 vs GT350R pricing. In 2018 alone, Chevy built three time the entire GT350R production of 15-16-17-18 (2,101). Only a guy that will never own one would celebrate a car being unattainable.

Yeah sure you would , on the used market

The base 350 has had ADM for years and they’ve built 16,000.

They preferred that feeling ...on the track... of a light, naturally aspirated, FPC, car that vibrates like hell at 8,250 rpm ...to a grand touring trim ZL1 ...that Pobst drove with one hand ...while objectively wiping the floor with the R.

Imagine if the ZL1 1LE ...track car... would have been at the test. .?.?.
  1. The ZL1 1LE would have lapped the GT350R
  2. They ...likely... would have subjectively preferred it’s “feel”

I can only quote their words for you to read, I can’t understand them for you.

The steering felt better, the engine felt better, the brakes felt better, the shifter felt better... but hey the ZL1 was easier to drive with one hand so there’s always that.

The vibrate the dash apart engine felt better than the LT4... ouch

Some points from the article you omitted
Quote:
From the driver's seat, the ZL1 is almost a luxury car. The ride is excellent, and the experience is fairly subdued. ...There's not much to remind you that you are driving one hell of a world-class sports car. The Shelby GT350R is the opposite. It's almost too much.
Quote:
This Shelby's shifter shifts better, the engine feels better (who wouldn't take an 8,250-rpm redline over a 6,500-rpm limit?)
Who wouldn’t take 8,250 rpm over 6,500 rpm? The guy that is out of warranty. The Voodoo tends to blow up and burn a lot of oil. The MT guys don’t care because they get to beat on the car for the day and then walk away

+$5,000 discount. Do I get a prize?

What a ridiculous price for 1SS 1LE performance.
