Magnuson 2300 makes 916whp! 1,035whp on spray!

So first off: we adjusted our dyno correction factors this year. Some of you know last year I hit a peak of 880. With the much lower settings it is 855. We got it? Ok.

*916whp boost only (5th gear)
*1,035whp 100 shot (5th gear)

This year I changed meth to through the lid with four nozzles. I also added a Cordes Performance 5” intake and ported/milled SPS Heads. We went from 855 at 17 psi to 916whp at 15 psi. A 61whp gain at less boost! We have collected some of the street data and the new meth distribution dropped IAT’s by almost 40 degrees. This essentially negates any need for an ice box. The car didnt suffer any noticeable heat soak on back to back pulls.

Now for the best part: we decided to be very safe and hit it with a 100 shot. We pulled a lot of timing just to keep everything happy and hit 1,035whp! The car is a rocket ship and if weather keeps clear enough I will have shake down runs at the track next week to test the new Stage 2 trans and 2nd gear launch.

WTF? Are you kidding me? I knew it wouldn't make a 1036 rwhp like you said.

Have shakedown passes next week and to have Steven Rankins double check the trans settings for 2nd gear leave/aggressive settings. The track thats closest to the shop is crap. High elevation and never much prep so I dont expect world shattering ET but get enough data to then lay it on the car at Woodburn or Pacific dragstrips. I have a bunch of heads up dig/roll events that I am honestly looking more forward to than timeslip chasing as well. Lol

have you guys figured out how to actually leave in 2nd, not a 1-2 shift 1' out? I tried to program out 1st and it wouldn't let me. at the track I have been leaving in manual 2 and then slapping it over to auto about 1/2 way through 2nd gear but it would be nice to not have to do that.

As I understand it yes Reid at Kaizenspeed has it so I wont have to slap it over. We will see if it works when we leave under a lot of power.

I think Swanson was was leaving in first in Vegas - so don't write that off if the track can handle it. Our TVS2650 Camaro was normally .1 sec faster leaving in first rather than second, but there were only a couple tracks that we could hook first.

Excellent numbers - I think it's my turn to drive!

It really looks like a great package they put together. Next week at the track will be the true test but I expect a really low 9 second pass if it hooks and then they can work on it from there. If it goes 8s? Hell yes for sure. Mike I'm pretty sure you are correct about leaving in first. He did have a 1.39 60ft on one pass but his best pass was 1.48 if I remember correctly

Dang take it easy on my local track. Some us dont know any better. At least it is not uphill. Actually I am looking forward to making a trip to Woodburn this fall with team Kiazenspeed to see what my car can do in decent DA at a well prep track.

Krazy!!

What kind of tire set-up do you think will handle that power and get you down your lane?

Any concern of drive line failure?

Get us lots of video
