Offset for ss and zl1

I was looking at some wheels that are:

19x10.5 23mm offsets
19x11.0 38mm offsets

Will these work with 6 gen ZL1 and SS?

I was told the 38 will not work.. but 43mm do..

I have ran 19x10 27mm square on my zl1 one before w 305s all around..and a 5 mm spacer in front.

So I'm wondering why a 38mm offset do not..

Can someone explain why? Or can anything be done?

Thanks.

38mm would be perfect.

11" wide is generally 43mm. That 38 only brings it out 5mm more.
35mm would be tops...

Ok ty..

Are you saying that 38mm will stick out side the fender just 5mm more than if I ran 43mm offset using the same 19x11 rim?

And no clearance issues or rubbing fender liner ?

I think I get what your saying because when I had the 27mm tsw 19x10 w 305s on back they stuck out quite a bit.. nothing stupid

I don't think it would be outside the fender.
A 1LE 20x11 is 43mm and it is slightly inside the fender.

Rubbing would be caused by a tall tire. Keep it at 27" diameter.
