Holy $hit!

You are gonna have an awesome track Camaro when you are all done!

Keep the updates and pics coming. Those of us afraid to completely demo our Camaros are living vicariously through you!

BTW...I just changed out my ZL1 Brembos for AP Racing Front and Rears. Saved 15lbs per wheel front and 10lbs per wheel rear. Wasn't sure if you were looking to lose some weight there too....

Holy shit! Big savings. I actually just ordered DBA rings for the front and three sets a DTC 70 Hawk for the front and two sets for the rear. I have carbon fiber doors that I'm going to hang once I'm finished with a cage I was thinking about putting the glass and all that b******* back in it but f*** that

Don't know if you mentioned it, but I was wondering who is doing your cage.

If you don't want to post their name could you PM me?

Really nice car I'm looking to do something similar.

Thanks
Craig

These are Sprint vs Enduro sized - correct? Look friggin tiny vs OEMs...at least in those pix. I had them in my Vette but that was a 3000lb car...hmmm...

TC,

Sprint vs Enduro is only the caliper width and pad thickness. I went with the 9668 and Enduro pads. Wow......thick....

The rotors are a bit smaller than OEM, 372mm vs 390mm but they look "tiny" in the pic because they are hanging down away from the wheel wells unsprung on the rail jacks. Well, that and the rather far away wide angle pic.

While giving up some swept area, I'm optimistic/confident that the significant improvement in construction design, quality and cooling will improve track performance. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks at Road Atlanta.

Your comment on using these on your vette is an important one. While a fair amount lighter than a ZLE, in the energy equation, mass is an important variable, but velocity is squared. I'm guessing you might have been carrying some high speeds in your 3,000lb vette!

These are basically the same rotors/calipers used by the C7.R teams and while lighter, they reach 200mph+. That was one of the final reasons I decided to give up some swept area to go with these. Amazing reduction in rotating mass, unsprung weight and "heat sink" on these brakes.

I'll provide an unvarnished review after RA.....given the cost, they BETTER be an improvement!

PLEASE DO! Keep us informed.
Brembo are a bit more in dollars? Did you do a side by side comparison? If so what were the deciding factors?

Thanks!
