Naysayers say a 755hp 80-85K Camaro won't sell, yet the GT500 is expected to be at least that pricey and everyone is preparing for more dealer markups like the 350s.

Same for the Demons...

That’s because Ford people actually spend the money. Plus, Ford puts out cars that generate enough excitement to get the money. Not to mention they push the horsepower wars forward. GM is happy to be left in the dust, producing parts bin cars.

I’m confused here. You say you won’t pay anything over 10K price increase and that’s the figure I used in my statement (maybe you’re being sarcastic and I’m missing it ).

Anyhow, of course I have no data to prove it, we are all just speculating here. It’s an educated guess on my part. If they can’t sell these things at their current price (even with the performance bargain that the Zl1 1LE is) common sense tells me that if the price goes up they are going to have an even harder time selling cars.

We are a small demographic of the people who actually buy these cars so you can’t go by what you or most of us here would do. Of course if an LT5 was dropped into a Camaro most of here would seriously consider getting it.

But like someone else said on this thread, to the people on the streets that don’t really know about lap times and the engineering marble that these things are it’s going to look like an overpriced Camaro.

Only the future will tell, I’m just speculating

An LT5 would be a great final touch by Al before he goes to the land of Duracell.

It would keep Camaro relevant with the GT500 and Hellcat Redeyes of the world.

Probably means they won’t do it.

I couldn’t agree more with this. I think advertising is once of the reasons people are paying 70K plus for the new hellcats

I knew I was getting a Hellcat when I saw their commercial “predators” with Phil Collins in the background.

GM also has a delima within its buyers who can choose a corvette instead. That doesn’t exist for Ford and barely with dodge. I would bet a lot of Vette buyers would be in a Camaro if it didn’t exist. I know I would. I’m interested to see this new GT500.

GM says they don't limit the Camaro anymore.
