Window index programming not working
Problem with the rear driver side window. When I pull the switch up to express the window up, it goes all the way up, reverses and opens all the way. I followed the instructions in the manual to program the windows.
Disconnected the battery for a while. Reconnected the battery. Closed doors. Put ignition on ACC. Opened window partially. Closed window and continued to hold the switch up. Lowered window and held switch down. This worked for the front and rear passenger windows. When I held the switch up for the rear driver side, the window went all the way up, reversed and stayed down. I tried going down and holding first, then up; same result. I can close the window by pulling the switch up partially and stopping when the window is at the top, but if I hold it a fraction of a second too long, it reverses and opens. Takes a few attempts to get it closed. The car was in for service a few months ago to fix the broken convertible top slide cover next to the problem window. Could they have done something to mess up the window limit sensors? Any suggestions to fix this without a trip back to the dealer? |

Wish I had some info your ya. I was reading and re-reading your post wondering why the hell I don't have switches for the back windows, racking my brain to see what I missed, then realized you have the 'vert. Makes me wonder though, why doesn't the coupe have this??
