New Gen 6 Owner
Just wanted to say hi. I traded in my 2015 Camaro 2SS today for a 2018 Camaro 2SS. Damn, just damn. Well worth the trade in. Went from a manual to an auto due to my knees and I am not disappointed so far.
I am looking forward to what I learn with this new generation and this forum. Any recommendations for the break-in period? I will search of course, but just wanted to see if anyone had some quick recommendations in the first few weeks while I research. Thanks

I bought my 2SS used with less then 2k miles so no break in period for me. Welcome to the Gen6 team!

Just follow the owners manual to protect the warranty.

Welcome home. Congrats! Just finished my break-in period like 50 miles ago (got mine day after 4th of July). I pretty much kept to the recommendations of the manual. To be honest I was enjoying the growl too much to speed, tho I did pushed it near 4000 rpms a couple times on the bypass to get the feel of it ... and to enjoy. Luckily for me tho my wife needed to run to her hometown so I got to hit a 120 mile trip on a hwy so that helped. 75 speed limit never felt so good. Just enjoy and 1500 miles will pass in no time.

Here are a few pics. Thinking about swapping the wheels for MMR M017 or the OEM 1LE wheels. I do like the split spoke though, the dark grey version might look better.

Great looking Camaro!
I broke in my Gen5 by the book and intend to do the same next time around as well. Since this is not your first Camaro, exercising some patience should be easy. |
