Modded turbo 1LE at peru cam challenge

The GM engineers were at the SCCA cam challenge in peru Indiana this weekend with a bunch of cars including a turbo 1LE.

Congrats to Ales Doss on winning the challenge in the turbo 1LE!!

Car was running the DSSV shocks, zl1 1le wheels, and some added booooost!! lol

Thanks for posting this! How'd the SS 1LE next to it do? Looks like the rear diffuser of the turbo 1LE has been cut out, muffler removed and single pipe out the back.

It won but the v81L they brought was right on its heels all weekend. even took fastest time on the morning runs on day two so they both are competitive for sure!

A couple of questions: did they say how much boost/power the T4 was tuned up to? and was the SS 1LE on roughly the same setup as last years Nationals winning car?

boost was a antilaging not sustainable 30psi on 110 octain. talking they may have blown the turbo up on the way home. but they are testing the car to see what it can take and thats awesome!

yes the v8 1LE was the same setup as last years car

Dang 30psi on 110! I wonder what kind of power that was pushing?!?

And I'm considering a very similar build to theirs on my car, I don't want to say I've given up on A Street but.......... lol I will wait and see if anyone has success with a 1LE at Nationals before I completely give up on it haha

what if they move it to BS?? but also CAMc is fun. I mean stock FS car day 1 i was 6th out of 59 lol

If they move it to BS then it's on!!!!! There are some fast Focus RS & S2000 guys here in DC that would make for a fun class! But they already turned the BS moved down this year so they would have to change there minds about it later on which I kinda doubt would happen.... And your results at the challenge were awesome! Just think what you could have done in a lightly modded 1LE!

Man that is really cool. Ediff, launch control, DSSV's on the I4.
Its pretty easy to get decent power out of the LTG, these should be something to watch. Wish there was some video.

Unfortunately the I4 1LE doesn't get the eDiff :( though with all the standard equipment plus the stuff the Chevy guys added it's no surprise that it's a formidable AutoX car!

Sweet. I could run that setup on my with the exception of the E-Diff. I'm surprised they didn't keep the MR dampers on the SS 1LE. I'm curious how much is really on the table by going from MR to DSSV.

What tires did both GM cars run?

That is the million dollar question.... well the $7k question haha (I think that's how much the DSSVs are).

And I believe both of those cars were on 205 square RE71Rs.
