Totally understand. It's easier to find a used cluster and have Chris at White Auto and Media program it. Buying one new has some hoops to go through.

Hold on, do you mean that if the cluster is bought new, it would require some wiring to get the steering controls to work? What if it is bought used?

Yes to both. Because GM thought it was cool to not include a standard wiring harness across the board, the wires for MOST control are not included with the base model cars. Modifying the harness is the only way to get it working. Chris programmed the cluster for me without issue... knowing that I was going to add the necessary wires.

Sad. I ordered mine with the 8" screen and was hoping to put the enhanced cluster in someday...

Unless someone wants to sell a harness...!!

But I doubt it would work cause I can't find any cluster with the KM/H unit...!

I was "lucky" to at least have the IO5 option already. Purchased a dealer demo. The wiring wasn't too bad to do. You just have to be able to put the pins into the connector ... and run the wires down... I created a DIY on it.... not the greatest... but explains it at least.

lol... I had some ideas on doing it myself... but as you can see... I just added the pins and cut/tapped wires. Maybe one day I'll create my own "patch" to go in between the cluster and the HMI module. Ideas have been spinning.

I actually found the opposite. The RS cluster I found was KM/H... not MPH... I had to buy mine new from the factory. lol
