I like the concept, but it would add weight ,and save the beer for victory lane.

I do have to say, I'm surprised how many people disagreed with that. LoL. I was speaking specifically crom an on track stand point and not the car as a whole. The manual is more fun without a doubt, but if it's about performance and fast lap times, the auto would make it faster.

Of course you have to take the chest bumpers out of they equation that feel you are somehow less of a man if you dont have a manual. Lol |

Hmmmm... what would make it the perfect car?
- blacked out tail lights and center stop - Diode Dynamics smoked side marker lights - blacked out bowties - ACS ZL1 side skirts - suede knee pads - ... Wait... I already did all that. Perfect as is!

Just a little wider in the seat area.
The ricaro's make me look fat. They're narrower than the seats in my Corvette. |

The only thing that would make my 1LE perfect would be it holding its value better. More power less weight for the same money would be all I'd ever ask for. I love this car.

So why DID Chevy go with 20's rather than 19's?

Wouldn't have even considered the car if it was an auto......I'm not a pro trying to set records on track and 1/4 mile is lame so the manual is perfect for me. Only things I would change is maybe make the Recaros heat/cool function usable since the seats are already ready to go? Also wouldn't have minded memory seats just because it would make not crushing the Recaro bolsters much easier. Oh ya obligatory another 50hp would've been nice lol. I honestly can say I am content in this car for now (never said that before). Other than the ZL1 1LE (natural progression) or a Grand sport/Z06 nothing under 100k really does anything for me in terms of that WOW I have to have it. I still tell anyone that will listen that the SS 1LE is the best performance bargain out there right now hands down.

good question....at the time it was probably easier to source the same tires from the ZL1 instead of going to a 19 like the ZL1 1LE did but who knows.

OP: Maybe you'd like a CVT so it's no work and no shifting at all.
