Unless you have a ZL1 or 1LE with the e-LSD then that would be impossible.

No it does not. Only the 1LE and ZL1 received the e-LSD. The 1SS and 2SS have the exact same IRS. Example, the 1LE nor ZL1 axles will fit a 1SS or 2SS. However, the 1SS and 2SS axles are the exact same part number.

Only the 1LE and ZL1 get the eLSD in the Camaro platform. Also the eLSD is active and works in all modes. You can see the power distribution in the performance screen.

As for maintenance, there seems to be some confusion. Are there 2 fluids for the eLSD? The "normal" differential gears lubricant and the fluid the operated the eLSD?
What is the maintenance interval for the eLSD actuation fluid and what fluid is to be used?

Only the Coupe ZL1 and V8 1LE. Vert ZL1s and V6 1LE don't get eLSD. |

I did mine yesterday. The interval should be in the manual along with the fluid but I have the fluid number handy
Update: manual says after the run in service. Every 45k miles Last edited by HOST1LE_gen6; 05-16-2017 at 12:38 PM. Reason: Update |

Changed my diff fluid today with the above fluid right out of manual.
The only thing is the fluid is vary thin, I know it contains LSD modifier, maybe that thins it out. I have 20,000 miles on it just 8 months, I have barked the tires going into 2nd and third but mostly freeway driving. Small amount of silt a few pieces, normal ware. |
