Insightful video about GM powertrain issues
I've found this video interview with a former GM powertrain engineer based on a post in a transmission thread here, and IMO it's a great illustration of why owners have all these issues.
It's long, but worth watching; if someone doesn't have the time, the channel has several bits of it posted separately in followup videos.
