I mean the folding type tow hooks.

I got one on that has the mount for a go-pro camera. Not a contrasting color - I think it looks kind of cool when I got too lazy to take it off.

What's the thoughts on this from a security standpoint? One less thing to do to have to tow/steal the car? Or a minor matter due to people who would tow a car away already having them?

About as cool as a snorkel on a mall crawling Jeep IMHO, you asked. No one is going to utilize an off center hard point to tow a vehicle thats in park or in gear/parking brake, its designed to snatch a car quickly off a track.

Well I can understand the look. Probably better than all of the Challenger guys leaving the yellow shipping protectors on the lower front fascia.

If you go to the track like alllll the time and you want people to know and ask about it then ok. But otherwise kind of posing?

But I don’t think it hipurts anything to leave it on. Could bounce around and damage paint I guess.

I leave mine on since that's where my front plate mounts, and sometimes I need to install it if I get a cop "reminding" me I need to have it. I usually use the "Oh I just forgot to reinstall it". So I slap the tow hook on it so it's not just a post sticking out of the front end.

Guess I'm a poser.

I'll add that to the list of things other people think I am that I don't give a f*ck about.

If you read the owners manual that hook is only for using when loading on a flat bed trailer it is not for recovery. Recovery hooks should be attacked to the frame under the car. Using it as a GoPro mount would be a great vantage point on track day.
