Engine light, Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) high voltage
The diagnostic is:
Code P0158 Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 2, bank 2 - high voltage If I clear the engine light, the next time I run the car it comes back on after about 5 minutes. I haven't noticed anything weird with the engine or with fuel economy. Should I just replace the sensor? Is there any other diagnostic I can do? It's a 2016 Camaro 2SS, 115,000 km Which part do I need? It's a bit confusing if it's upstream/downstream or what side the sensor is on. Is this something I need to immediately replace? Or can I drive it for a few more months and replace it when its warmer out? (I'm in Canada) |

There are 4. 2 before the cats(upstream) and 2 after(downstream). They don't last forever, but for now you can just replace the one that is throwing the code. Bank 2 Sensor 2 is the passenger side, rear sensor. The rear sensors only monitor the cats, they do not contribute to the way the engine runs.
