Tire issue

Hello All!! Drove ZL1 to a doctors appointment 2 weeks ago. They have valet parking there only. Gave the keys to the guy and he gave me a slip. Went to my check up and left all in about hour and a half. Drove home no issues. Parked in garage. Couple days later I was going to drive it again and I noticed tire pressure warning system saying front right tire zero pressure. Got out of car and sure enough, flat on the ground. Got out air tank and aired it back up. I could hear the air coming out almost as fast as it was going in. Figured a big nail or something in tread so I jacked up the car so I could spin wheel around to find the problem. No nail or screw. So then I took the wheel off and the inner edge of front tire was destroyed a little over half way around the tire. Rubber pealed off in some parts to the cords. I hit nothing going there or coming back home! I took wheel and tire to Chevy store where I work to get a new tire ( Michelins ) Got it mounted and when they balanced it they said the wheel was bent and that's probably what caused the odd wear. Sent out wheel to be straightened. So 750.00 later I got my wheel and tire back. Only thing that could of happened is valet driver hit something parking car. Sad that you have to worry about stuff like this at times. I had wheel and tire insurance but it expired couple months ago. Used it several times in 5 years.

This story sounds super strange. Was there damage under the car beyond the bent wheel? It almost sounds to me like the valet may have driven up on something to bend so much of the rim. I'm instantly thinking railroad tracks, because I have personal experience pushing a friend's car off railroad tracks which she (idiotically) thought was a road.

Related.
My son valeted at a Florida resort while in college. I assure you the valets take advantage of "enjoying" EVERY nice sports car they can. His coworkers would send him text alerts when nice cars came in for a stay.

Ive bent rims its not that hard to have it happen, ruin a tire, too. A 30 series makes it even easier. But my gut was your alignment...have that checked, too. I was thinking your Toe was out for the corded tire. My 1LE had all 4 wheels that were out and I lost the fronts quicker than I should have.

I thought that at first too. But the tire was only messed up on about half of the circumference.
