My 2023 2SS 1LE

Picked it up today in Tampa. Traded in a '22 Mustang GT Premium. I had a Rapid Blue 1SS 1LE on order at a local dealer. Put my deposit down in April, never heard from them regarding order status, but I checked it online almost daily. Never left "ordered but not accepted" status. Yesterday it didn't give me anything, but tried to patch me through to a live rep. So I called the dealer and learned that there are no more allocations for 2023s, and that my order would be for a 2024. Moreover, they're dropping Rapid Blue in favor of something called Riptide Blue.

So, I did another local inventory search, something I thought was behind me. Lo and behold, a dealer 2 hours away had a Red Hot 2SS 1LE sitting on the lot. The rest is history.

Now to get my $1000 deposit back from my local dealer....

Nice looking car and CONGRATS!! Hope you like your new Camaro!.
How does it compare to the Mustang you traded in for it? Like it better? About the same? Etc...

$7000 1LE pkg is a performance bargain.
If I was younger I would have chosen that pkg....

.

I've only driven it home from the dealer, so I don't have enough info yet to give a good comparison. But I will say I miss the Mustang's interior already. So much more ergonomic. I love the sound of the 6.2, especially the exhaust crackling when you lift off the throttle. I will say the Camaro's blind spots are not nearly as bad as they've been made out to be, though visibility is undoubtedly better in the Mustang.

More thoughts as I drive it more.

Fair points. Excited to hear more thoughts the more you drive it/longer you have it!

Congrats on the new ride. The visibility issues are totally overblown, and you get used to the cockpit very quickly.

The more (and the more intensely) you drive the Camaro, the better its performance will feel. This is the first car I've ever driven that feels more stable and "envelopes" me more and more closely as its speed increases.

Do you mind expanding on why you're missing the interior of the Mustang? Ergonomics in what way? I know the center console is not exactly practical and of course the rear seat legroom/headroom compromised, but what, if anything, else? The Mustang GT interior isn't exactly out of a BMW or Mercedes-Benz either, many consider it worse than the Camaro...

Sheeesh that looks great! I came from a Mustang too (2014), and I can say that this car will grow on you every day. The coyote sounded killer, but the trans (assuming you have a stick) is way better, as is the handling.

Nice looking ride you have! You mentioned you are 2 hours away from Tampa. Would you happen to be in the Melbourne/Space Coast area? Not too many 1LEs in this around here.

You think the coyote sounds killer, I guess you have never heard a Shelby GT350 with flat plane crank. There is one that drives the same freeway I do in the morning. Sounds like a Ferrari and everyone knows its coming. Wish I had the LT6 in my Camaro.
