There's An App For That

Does anyone know if there is an app that shows road quality? I would like to try and avoid the crappy freeways, interstates with potholes or damage in general, and random back roads with only one lane per side, aka more dangerous. I have a trip I need to make this Saturday from the Houston area to Decatur, IL. Driving a bit more is not a problem, just looking for good roads if that is even a thing anymore.

I use Waze. It relies on user reports to provide real-time updates on traffic conditions, accidents, and road hazards. I like it 'cause I benefit from the experiences of other drivers and receive alerts about road quality issues...

I've heard also about Roadtrippers and know that it is a trip planning app that allows you to customize your route and discover interesting places along the way. But I don't like that it doesn't provide real-time road quality information(

If I avoided bad roads around here, I think I'd just have to keep my vehicles in the garage. Every year they get worse and worse. $hit there are parking lots around here that if you are not careful you'll lose your front tire in and not get back out. (Not joking)

You got a lot better roads then down here. The nice part in Wis. the roads have blacktop even the back roads. Here you can go from nice to gravel for no reason.

There are some TERRIBLE roads just north of Decatur. We have a customer who ships glass out of Decatur and that route is a killer. I'm betting that the roads coming into Decatur from the south aren't that great either. Actually, the interstate highways between St. Louis & Decatur are pretty nice for the most part. Very flat & open, as is most of Illinois.
