AWE touring Cat back System

So i just installed this on my 23 ZL1

Does it hang low compared to the stock system? I didn't really notice it hanging when i installed but then someone mentioned it to me so just wondering. I installed it correctly and everything lined up, so maybe i'm just being paranoid

Pictures would help. It will be slightly lower than stock due to the fact of the 3" exhaust that isn't flattened out at the axle.

I will try and get a picture of mine tonight?

usually my experience was that as long as the tips sat correctly in the valance, level, etc then things were in the right position. When you can't get the tips right you had to move back upstream, as it were.

Do they still send a blow pop sucker in the box? They used to in AWE axle back GT500 exhaust.

They do in the catbacks, not sure about axle backs today.

They did on mine! Although that was a few years ago so not sure if they still do.

Yes they do in the axel back systems also. When I got my axel back from RDP Store I called AWE and asked for some swag. They sent me a goodie box with stickers, coffee cup, T-shirt and a lanyard And a few years later I replaced the chrome tips with the black and they sent a Blowpop with those also

AWE's stuff for the Camaro's and Corvette's are super nice and really good quality. Their stuff for Audi's was really disappointing. Lol. No lollipop or swag and the system looked terrible comparatively.

But back on point, that picture looks about right. I had their system on my SS 1LE and it hung down about that low.

It really is nice, and sounds awesome. Last few weeks I have been leaning heavily towards AWE for my upcoming ZL1. Just need to decide Axle or Cat Back.

I know I'm going to be really bias here but, I vote for a catback--and resonated, at that. I have a video on YouTube floating out there of my old SS 1LE with Kooks 2" headers, no cats and an AWE Touring exhaust w/o resonators. It sounded great but it also was unnecessarily loud for what it was. I would highly suggest cats and the resonated version. Loud is cool sometimes but, it was significantly louder than I bargained for.

Yeah, I think I will go cat-back. It sounds incredible on a stock ZL1, but all I have heard(youtube) is the non-resonated touring cat-back. What do the resonators do for the sound on an otherwise stock car? Just smooth them out some? Not much volume change from what I heard.

So, the cat-back includes the axle-back and the mid-pipe. How is this different from stock? The mid-pipe is 3-inches and doesn't have the crumpled spots, is that correct and is that all?

Your advice is well heard. I actually already have a plan for when I add headers. Car will remain stock(no tune) for the first couple years of ownership. When I add headers, I will also add a Jones X-Pipe to quiet the system down. If I was going to go headers sooner, I think I would just keep the suitcase for a bit, thats a great combo for sound and price.
