How long before check engine light comes back on?
If I reset my check engine light codes on my car, how long or how many miles before the check engine light will come back again considering I dont actually fix the codes?

That depends on what is causing the code. Some problems will trigger the MIL and set the code(s) immediately. What codes are you getting?

Probably two key/drive cycles if the malfunction is still present.

It depends. If the trans temp sensor has totally stopped sending data, the check engine light will never go out. If it is sending data intermittently, then the check engine light will go off by itself after several start/stop cycles if the sensor has started working again. Scroll through the dash display and select trans temp. See if it is displaying a temp or just dashes, which means no data.
