I just had some new weld S71 rims balanced and the weights are rubbing on the calipers. I was told to just remove them as they don’t really need to be balanced. Is this true?

I have all 4 of mine balanced. The guy knew how far in he could go with the weights before they would rub. Rides good! I also put some racer tape over them so they don't fly off.

mine are also balanced. Have the tire guy put the weights in the wheel where they wont rub
