Misfire only at wot

So when ever I do a pull top of 3rd and 4th my engine light will flicker for misfires. If I continue in 5th everything disables, stabil trak, rev match, axle and other stuff. I’ve swapped plugs, wires. The issue still is one the same 3 cylinders 3,4,6. I haven’t swapped the coils yet but that’s the next thing. If that doesn’t change the issue what’s everyone’s thoughts of the issue.

Did you change anything before the issue started? Is it happening on and off wmi? What mix are you running? I have an Audi ttrs with a big turbo and 1000cc wmi. Had pretty good misfire when running stock plug gap. Dropping it from .035 to .025 fixed it. Not sure if this is applicable given its happening on the same 3 cylinders for you but figured I'd mention it.

Mods are down below. Changing the gap didn’t change the issue. I’ve had a few revisions and the issue is still staying. I’ll swap packs when I get a second and see if it follows.

I had that issue long time ago and it was a spark plug wire. Found it when we were on the dyno.

Wires are new and are all good I’ve also swapped the ones around that were on the issue cylinders and the issue stayed with the cylinder with different wires.

Is it still SBE? Have you performed a Compression test?

Not yet and haven’t checked injectors but everything seems good but the misfires on the log.

Honestly have some weird feeling it’s a electrical issue cause the cars performing great. Even on the dyno was health. But since then I’ve been noticing the light flicker and I just clear it cause I haven’t actually done any pulls till recent. This all happened since headers. And intake swap.

Ahh...from what I have read in the past, odd issues like you describe after header install indicates potentially some damage to the wiring harness on the passenger side.

Your headers can be eating your wires up pretty quick. Make sure they aren't laying on the header or close enough to burn one. Also, I'd run a smoke test and confirm you don't have a vacuum leak on the intake.

When we have a car come in with a misfire it's almost always the wires.

I’ve relocated them before so possible more issues from it than I thought 🤷🏻*♂️

Yeah I’ve already wrapped the wires and everything so maybe I do have more of a issue then originally saw but I haven’t had the same issue I did prior.

You know of a way to find the wire diagram for that harness?

When I installed my headers I put a hairline crack in 1 plug, super hard to see. It was doing exactly what you described. Miss at WOT. I changed all 8 and the issue went away.
