Adding fuel additives - Easy option!

Running a little bit of Boostane to help insure octane level of fuel and was trying to figure out how to get it in there without making a mess. You have to get it into the tank, bypass the anti-siphon feature, and figure a way to carry around enough for at least 1 extra tank on the road.

Found this from my R/C days and it works perfectly. Reaches down long enough to get past anti-siphon feature. You can get them on amazon for less than $10, search for Fast Fill Fuel Bottle 500cc or similar.

It easily pulls the additive out of the 32 ounce containers, you can measure how much you pull from the container and place in your tank using side measurement markers.

I just use the OEM fuel filler thing that came with the car and a small funnel, but I’m basic.

I run Boostane all the time in my cars. I buy the 5gal drum as it is the most economical. Brings the cost down below $9 range per can. I use a very small long neck funnel.

I don't have to mess with factory fuel filler and can bring 3-4 tanks worth of booster in that 500ml container with me.

Great idea. I was using Boostane for a while. About 4oz per fill up of 93. Just to bring it up to about 95 for knock protection. Currently running Meth now so not using it anymore.

I use Race Gas concentrate, just enough to raise octane to 95-96, which eliminates all knock retard under WOT. Great idea on the filler, I usually just dump half the can into a half tank with a long neck funnel, heh.

FYI, the factory manual has comments about not using additives i believe that have MMT at risk to damaging multiple pieces of equipment / spark plugs, etc. I am pretty sure most of these have MMT but I could be wrong. Double check to be safe, PSA only. Race Gas Concentrate lists MMT as a primary additive

I use Race Gas Race Fuel Concentrate as well and thru Summit, it's available in 16 & 32 oz cans which I carry in the car. A 16 oz can treats 8 gallons of 91 and a 32 oz can treats 16 gallons. Essentially a half or, a full tank. I use the OEM funnel as well as another funnel with a larger opening running thru the OEM one.

It was recommended by my tuner who has been running it in his own personal cars even. Something to watch:

All octane boosters that actually work have MMT. At least that's my understanding. I was trying to get through break-in before adding any. I have Boostane and Race Gas and am trying to get my 91 to about 95 so OEM-timing isn't pulled, like it says it probably will on 91.

Has anyone had warranty issues or parts failures from any of these? I know spark plugs will have to be changed sooner - no biggie. I'm aware there's possible issues with the cats', too, though; and O2 sensors. I'm not really too worried if I lose a few thousand miles out of my cats', but don't want to have to replace them at like 50K or something...

Plugs may turn orange but not impacted. 02 and Cats are fine with 2 brands I researched (Race Gas and Boostane).
