My stage 3 build

Long story longer. First I did RF CAI and Tony Mamo TB. Thought it was awesome, felt strong and sounded good. Then added kooks headers, 9.17 lower pulley, and tune, and then another tune to fix the first tune. lol!
Car made 612whp and 642wtq

I eventually got used to the power and wanted more. Original plan was for Mag 2650, cam, and meth. This was doable but after some thinking, unrealistic to what I would be doing most of the time. I will not track it as the nearest track to me is about 300miles seats. I run 1/4 mile about 3 times a year but now I’m leaning towards 6-8. This build would have been about 5k more expensive and yielded about 850-900whp with ease. After talking my tuner and builder we decided on a more realistic approach and power gains. The goal was simple, anything over 730whp was plenty. I’m happy to say we hit that number pretty easy and then some.

The following is what was done...

Ported stock supercharger by Modern Airflow Dynamics
Katech 103 TB
Rotofab Big Gulp
Cammotion cam
Grip tech 2.3 upper
Alky control dual meth injection with 2 gallon trunk tank
Cordes Expansion tank
Might mouse catch can
Differential flush and fill
New plugs
ECU and trans tune by Matt Sorian
Complete build by Houston Performance Solutions

Final numbers on 93 and meth 780whp 803wtq!

Car runs like a champ. I’m a little overwhelmed with the power right now but I’m sure in a couple of weeks it’ll feel more manageable. I have not had time since I drove it home for pics. Car is super dirty as I told them not to wash it as I like to do my own detail. Pics and video to come in the next week.

Nice build and numbers! Did you get any Dyno numbers without the meth?

Congrats on the choice but if you decide to change later we will still have those 2650s ready to go for you.

Take a look at the Prometh line of meth products, I had CSP install their kit with the prometh 3.5 gallon tank and the prometh pump. There's been constant issues with the Alky unit failing.... im not sure what pump you went with as well.

I’ve heard good things from both companies. I plan on purchasing another pump in 9 months so that I can send this one in for maintenance. I want to have 2 pumps to switch off from to keep them both working at their best. I may consider the Prometh pump now. Going to keep the current tank as I feel 2 gallons should be plenty. I drive pretty conservative on the street maybe doing 2 pulls per week. The rest will be done on the strip.

Constant issue with Alky units failing? Heard of random issues, but Alky has by far one of the best quality systems, and customer service on the market.

When I was in build stg 2 the original tune was off pretty bad. Took the car to Matt and before his tuning it made 560whp. Then he put in his tune and it made 612whp. Car drove better everywhere from idle, to mid range, and to redline. So of course he would be the one to do this tune as well.

Future plans are for HPtuners Ngauge to send him logs if I have to and to monitor things a bit better, and a rear drag pack.

After reading on the C7 Z06 section of the corvetteforum... it was repeated issues popping up. The crazy thing is that Alky control acknowledged the issue stating there was a bad line of pumps being sent out with the kits along with the fittings leaking from 100% meth use.
From the forum:

"After 1.5 years, I'm on my fourth Alky leak due to either a leaking pump (once) or leaking fittings (thrice). The first leak was upon installation so was replaced under warranty - the second-fourth leaks were loose fittings I fixed but I bought a backup pump in case anyway. I may be swapping that in this weekend if I find it's the pump and not the fittings leaking again.

When my first pump went, Julio sent me a replacement but recommended I buy a new pump as a spare rather than trying to fix a leaker so I got the impression it may require more than a rebuild kit to get it right/reliable."
