Confirmed possible! Full exhaust removal on 2 jack stands
Successfully pulled full exhaust out from in front of secondaries to back by myself with just one side of car on stands and a skate board (lol).. I’ve seen a few posts in the past of people asking if it was possible or how difficult it was and I finaly took the chance so I could do some “custom work” around the “resonators”... it realy wasn’t bad at all. I think it took longer to get car on stands then it did to pull the exhaust off.... so just for anyone else looking for this info later, yes it is possible and no it wasn’t bad at all. And yes you can hollow them out

I did something very similar just had the front of my car on ramps.
Just protect the diffuser with towels or something similar in case the exhuast drops and hit it. Other than that, it was pretty painless. |

Did you make those resonator chambers yourself? or did they come with the exhaust? Did they help with drone? and did you measure them to properly tune them?

We did that at the LS Fest when I broke the driveshaft, not fun at all but we got the DS replaced and made the 3rd of qualifying.

Ya, very doable and wasnt really difficult at all especially if you use 6 ton jacks and stands. they get about 24 inches off the ground and make it much easier. just a bit nerve racking getting it down when you have it on 4 jackstands. lol. I had ample room had my arms fully extended putting in the new exhaust. Did headers by installing through the bottom (2 inch headers was just barely to thick to come in from the top) with no problem.

I go side to side. First side up to lowest setting on jack stands. Other side to height I want. Then back to the first side to match height. Idk if that’s right or wrong.

thank you. did the car seem stable while on the stands. i might built some wood block/stand for the tires for extra safety.

I'm doing this today, I'm hoping regular jack stans are tall enough to get the headers in and out. /fingers crossed

Let me know how it went please. I am thinking of ordering a tall set of stands to get the headers in.

I used 4 6 ton which were able to get me 24 inches off ground. If been told that if u use 1 7/8 headers u can come in from top. But I had 2 in headers so they were just to fat to come in top side had come in from bottom and order to do that have to have at least 22 inches of clearance I'd say. But this is just how I did it. Others may of had better luck. But highly recommend 6 ton jack stands for the extra clearence
