injector options

Pray things I should get injectors, lets go over my mods:
Small Pray supercharger cam with 32% lobe, shimmed for max throw
Pray heads
Ported MDS with 103 mm TB
Stage II intercooler
headers
4.5 pulley 6.5 to 7 PSI
LT4 low side.
E85 conversion but have not run E anything with supercharger
D1X

I have on the shelf
LT4 high side pump
4.0 pulley to 10 PSI

I will NOT up the boost till I get a forged engine, that said I do want to dyno with E85 or at least E60.

So I show the best price for LT4 injectors $490 shipped new.
Is there a vendor selling take-offs cheaper?

I see the bigger injectors going for $3500, given that I will up the boost is it worth considering them now? Or should I go LT4 and in a year or two somebody is going to get $1200 injectors. I built many a diesel and saw injector prices change about that much as companies came in and produced aftermarket high flow injectors.

I've been waiting but so far I'm NOT convinced that 8 external injectors on the MSD is the way to go. If I were doing more than my final target of 707 WHP... maybe. For now I feel the 8 DI in the factory setup is the most dependable, most turn-key

Or should I sell my very low mile take off HP LT4 pump, do the new 12mm Lingenfelter big bore, LT4 injectors and 32% cam lobe and worry about it later....

I already assume I will need a second line and pump to the tank.

You will have to get the LT4 injectors if you are gonna run 700whp.

I would ask Pray if it would make sense to get the voltage booster too. We saw the low pressure pump dropping pressure before 700whp.

To get to your goal, 700whp, you will only need to run 8-10psi (assuming e85) so I dont know why you will need more than the LT4 injectors. The Lt4 injectors will easily run into the 850whp range.

On my system, running 760whp with e85, we see the fuel injector pulse width is going to be the first bottleneck if we up the boost (that's with the LT4 injectors).

That 490 is a good price, they have come down since I bought mine. I paid about 67 per injector or now about 40 buck cheaper.

Definitely do the injectors and a JMS fpvb. swap the pully and have some fun.

We consistently put 8-10 psi on stock engines without issue, it's all in the fuel supply and tuning.

Broken motors all lead back to lack of fuel supply

Ted.

Thanks for the reply so 707 WHP SAE, on E85 for the low side:
LT4 in-tank and a voltage booster would be enough? If not what about E60 or E47 (1/2 tank of E85 and 1/2 of E10)

Since I have time, as noted, I was thinking: LT4 pump in the tank and an external pump and line.

ZL1 In-tank, LT4 HPFP, JMS voltage booster, Lt4 injectors and the cam with increased fuel lobe...you will be good to go.

I have another thread, but here are the results I have had so far all on e70 (straight pump e85 with no mix).
8psi - 700whp
10psi - 730whp
12psi - 760whp
14psi - coming soon (gonna try this with race fuel)

OK, so I don't need to "blow myself up" by tapping into the tank. I have in addition to your build, I have Pray ported heads, mine is an M6 so it really looks like a may only need 8 PSI or a 4.25" pulley on my D1X, barely turning... LOL. I have on it now a 4.5" and left over from my P1x a 4.0:" With the 4.5" it does just hit 7 PSI, hard to tell as the car is all over the road..... just saying.

I will dyno with the 4.5" pulley and 93 then switch to E85 and be happy with whatever HP hits the rollers.

When I retire, I'll do the forged engine and start marching down then whatever it takes to hit 709 WHP, looks like a tiny pulley change..

Really as it is for the street on an M6 it is just crazy

Next year I'll also do the driveshaft and axle shafts, the way I drive gonna need them too.

A manual means you will see 3-4% less drivetrain loss. I bet your M6 match my power to the wheels with about 2psi less boost on e85. 8-9psi and you will be in the 730whp range on e85 (about where I was on 10psi).

To me the hop from 8 to 12 PSI really did make a difference in how scary the car is with regular street tires. In fact, I am leaning toward dialing back to 8psi until I get new tires. With my current setup it’s sweet...I can change the pulley and no other changes are needed. . .to change from 8 to 12 psi.

I do like the idea of joining the 800whp club and using that for the track because I believe for the vert that’s about what it will take to pull off a 9second pass.
