Brake Pad question...already searched!

The older posts were split on going to Power-stops over factory pads.
I will not track the car but will be adding street power.
Cleaning brake dust must stop, wheels are ceramic coated, to no avail.
Are Power-stops my best bet???

I would try Hawk Ceramic Pads if you want to cut down on the dust and still keep the performance aspect.

Huge fan of CarboTechs...I think their ceramic pads are #1521. (I like their XP12/XP10 for front and rear if you road course at all)

Don't go ceramic...I had those of the V and they were garbage when you pushed the car...even on a mountain run they would overheat and glaze. I made that costly mistake. Honestly, just keep the brembos they perform very well.

Don’t run a track pad unless you need to. They will chew up your rotors very quickly. And they will squeal and make more dust than factory pads. If dust is your concern and you don’t care about much loss is braking performance, the Powerstops seem to be pretty widespread. I don’t care about the dust at all myself.

I run Power Stop Z26 on my ZL1 brakes on the street. Basically no dust, actually a firmer pedal than the stock Ferodo's, but the braking power will be comparable on the street. Both will engage ABS. The Z26's aren't track pads, but since you're street-only, I'd say they're a perfect fit.

Pad sizes are Z26-1835 front and Z26-1053 rear.

I second that. I find that a good powerwash when washing the car gets rid of so much powder and I never have any squeal.

I run the powerstops and have been happy with them on the street. Ran a couple of lighter laps at VIR and they are NOT GOOD when hot - defined as decelerating from 140 to about 35 twice. I ran harder and longer at VIR with the stock pads and they were very good the whole time. I get your issue with dust, it drove me crazy and powerstops fix that problem.

I will admit the Brembos are really not putting out all that much dust, and with the wheel color it does not show much. (FYI, I've never used their ceramics). Now, the XP12(f) XP10(r) combination, if its not a dedicated track car blow the OEMs away in major proportions. They do cut into the rotors slightly, very linear on feel... and will stop the car like an anchor. In-fact you really want to be wearing a harness. I also like the CTs because they are non-corrosive whereas something like Hawks (non-ceramics) are... get some of that dust on your wheels or bodywork, a tad of moisture and see the dots.

I run XP12 fronts and XP10 rears and they're great track pads, but my god the dust they create is insane.

Wheels are supposed to be bronze.

I had those on the 2015 ViperGT... I remember my 1st time with those coming down the back of RoadAtlanta into 10A and the 6pt harness holding me in for dear life. When the Brembos go on the 1LE I'll most likely switch to the XP12/10s again... but need to get a harness-bar, or rear cage installed if I can.

XP12/XP10s are Track pads. They should not have even been brought up knowing what the OP was after.

OP, it looks like the Z26 pads are built for you. Just don't push the car too hard.
