Dual mode exhaust question-

I notice my 1SS on startup has a nice rumble to it, but becomes quite subdued shortly after.
I'm out in the sticks, with a lot of open country driving.
Is there a way to keep that initial sound level up?
Remove a fuse? Plug a vacuum line?
(love that start-up B-L-A-A-T!)
****
Appreciate any feedback.

Have you set the exhaust to sport or track mode in the setup screen?

If it becomes subdued as you call it after like 45 seconds of idling then what you are referring to is 100% in the tune and has to due with the Cat warmup tables.

Settings > Driving Mode > Engine Sound Management

It's set to "auto" by default, which means automatically changing the exhaust sound to match the driving mode. Set it to Sport or Track instead to always get the rumble.

setting it to sport or track still closes the valves on cruising and some partial throttle.

pulling fuse 51 in your underhood fuse box removes all power from the valves, and they spring open all the time.

As stated, the initial bark on start up is due to the timing being retarded in order to light the cats quicker. The only thing you can do is set the exhaust to track mode, but it doesn’t have that same initial bark. There is NO way to make the car sound like that at all times and not ruin the engine.

Pull fuse #51 in the engine bay fusebox and it will stay open all the time.
