Need some help on tire decision

I'm really torn. It's time to replace my tires, so I looked at a ton of different threads on this topic but I still don't know what to do. Originally I wanted to slap some 305's on the rear but there were conflicting opinions on the matter in terms of fitment on the stock SS wheels. Should I just settle for like 295's (I know that's still pushing it but from what I can discern they should be able to fit on stock wheels). I'm okay with the 245s in the front but I really want to go wider in the rear. Just don't have the budget for a whole new set of wheels at the moment. Anyone have experience with going bigger in the rear? I know about the harness adjustments and stuff by the way. Basically just trying to figure out what the widest I can push on the stock wheels. Thinking MT's street s/s or the nitto nt 555's. Any help would be appreciated, and I'm sorry if this thread is redundant, I really did try to look through the older ones but I just can't make up my mind. Thanks guys.

I ran a 285 on the stock 9.5s and they fit fine, I wouldn't recommend going any wider because you won't actually get any benefit from the wider tire without a wider wheel. Also you need to maintain your front to rear circumference so you don't throw off the speed sensors too terribly. I would try a 255/40 and 285/35 and see what you think.

Hmm interesting. Seems like a decent set up. What brand did you use if you don't mind me asking?
