What oil pressure are you getting?

Even when I get on it I don't seem to get over 40 psi. I have seen videos of SS model go around 70 psi. What are you getting in your zl1 ?

My gauge reads the same. This does not mean it is accurate. Just that the oil pressure is withing acceptable parameters.

When I get on it it's between 40-50, otherwise between 30-40.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it I guess. My oil temp was high but still seems slightly low.

FWIW, I monitor with aeroforce gauges, oil pressure during normal highway driving is 35-40.

Thank you. I just went for a drive and I am getting the same(35-40) while driving around normal. My idle pressure is only 25 which I never noticed but I guess it's nothing to worry about. I never really even looked before so I was just curious. Thanks again.

These motors have a new style variable pressure pump. Rarely do you get over 45 psi.

Thanks for sharing this. It'd explain why we are seeing "lower" pressure than what we'd expect on a motor like this.

I made a thread on this same thing but no one on here actually knows. Except 1 person in my thread.

I took it to the dealer because it was over 70 psi at WOT. The tech explained some things to me and explained that this is normal, during WOT events.

I watched a couple of ZL1 videos and saw the same thing you've seen with the SS cars.

You can read my thread here, the last post explains what I found out

Mine went over to 80 when I floored it. Not instantly, but when it was near redline. Definitely well over 45. I'm not worried about that, honestly. I was only concerned about it reading 20-25 at idle with hot oil. I'm not anymore though. I think it would say something on the dash if it was out of range.

The document that the dealer gave me that shows the acceptable ranges is at my house.

My idle is what has been said here, around 35 to 40. I've never seen it lower than that at anytime when I start my car. My concern was the higher pressure at WOT.

When I get home, I'll look for it and see what it says for the idle pressure but that is pretty low. What does your dip stick show for your oil level?
