Terrible GPS!

I can't find any other complaints with this car, but the GPS is atrocious! There have been multiple times that I'm on a developed road that has been there for many years and the GPS acts like I'm driving in outer space, meanwhile look at what it tried to guide me through earlier today:

Thanks but no thanks Chevrolet. I was aiming to tear through some corners, not wade my Camaro through water...

I always wondered what they meant by "Find New Roads".

As a side note, I've used factory GPS from several auto manufactures and my experience as been that there really aren't any good factory GPS units out there, or voice recognition systems for that matter.
The best luck I've had is with Google maps which is available with Apple Car Play or Android Auto in your Camaro and even those can be twitchy.

Just be thankful you only paid $500 for it and not the $1000 - $1200 Ford charges for their Sync (Stink) system.

You were counting on you GPS to do something different than you programmed it to do? I've never seen a GPS that would allow for a "fun route with corners you can tear through". I've seen quickest route, no toll routes but no corners to tear through route.

did you throw your cell phone out or just dont believe in using one built since the advent of android?

Google maps may not be perfect, but why you would use a different navigation platform is just odd. I say odd to be nice.

That's funny. One thing that I don't like about our GPS is the you cannot adjust the route (or maybe I just don't know how to).

I got the navigation thinking, "how bad can it be? This technology has been around for a while. Should be flawless.", Yeah, not good. I use google maps now.

Did you happen to choose "shortest route" or "shortest time"?

Anyone not using Waze is doing it incorrectly. It just sucks that Apple CarPlay limits you to the shitty Apple Maps... No one wants to use your stupid Apple Maps, Apple. Built in Navigation systems are a thing of the past unless they can integrate the newer apps that utilize traffic patterns and user generated reporting.... Like Waze...

I use Waze to avoid the LEOs when I'm pushing my car hard, but the most trusted source for me is MapQuest. They definitely have a solid routing engine and a strong set of POIs that are constantly updated.

I've said this a bunch of times before and I'll say it again. Car manufacturers are the only ones that get away with charging crazy premiums for old tech. At the rate technology advances now charging $500 or whatever it is for integrated nav that's not up to par with google maps is ridiculous. I could go on and on but I think I made my point. What's nav and PDR $1500? Come on...

I happen to think the factory Navigation is pretty awesome. One of the better systems out there. I live in the city though so maybe thats why. I really like the Navigation integration with the HUD.
