Question about factory warranty with the Edelbrock S/C

Hey guys, thank you in advance for your help. I tried searching this topic, but haven't come up with a definitive answer. My question is, do you retain the factory 3/36 basic and 5/60 powertrain warranty with the Edelbrock S/C? I know that Edelbrock themselves offer the 3/36 warranty independently, does that mean the factory will also retain their warranty? Mostly concerned about the Powertrain to be honest. The reason I ask is because I'm on the verge of ordering the Mustang GT with the Roushcharger (which retains all factory warranty), but would much prefer the SS with the Edelbrock if it means I can retain the same warranty.

Again, thank you in advance!

No, once you add that supercharger your GM powertrain warranty is over.

If you add just the supercharger, run Edelbrocks canned tune, and have a certified mechanic do the install, then Edelbrock will pick up the remainder of your manufacturer warranty thru a supplemental warranty company. Co-Pilot is the company.

Thank you for the info. That company only covers the 3/36 correct? The powertrain is then void? Is there a possibility of purchasing an extended warranty?

That is correct, it only covers the remaining GM Power Train coverage (engine, Transmission, rear end). So if the car was already 1 year old you will have the remaining 2 yrs. of coverage. you will have to ask about extended warranties. If they will honor one, you may have to pay for it.
