Android Auto Disapointment
Most of the posts i have read about Android Auto have revolved around connectivity issues. I had no issues connecting, but now that i have it, i am extremely disappointed.
I can't believe that you cant scroll through Spotify playlists and other simple operations without parking the car. Even at a stoplight, i cant scroll through more than a couple of my playlists unless i put my parking break on. I understand that they are concerned with safety, and don't want you searching for music by punching in song names and such, but all they are forcing me to do is to abandon AA and just connect via bluetooth or with the 1/4 inch headphone jack and go through Spotify on my phone. Really disappointed... Don't think i see myself using it at all now. |

They don't want you using it while driving. Now if you have the apps open before you launch, you can cycle through your open apps and they will show up on the screen. Works good for outlook and other apps

The bad thing is your passenger can't scroll through them either.

if you have a samsung you can hit the open app menu then the home key and it takes you to the home menu on your phone just so you are aware.

You are only allowed to do six steps to complete a task before you get the message.
http://www.androidcentral.com/why-on...re-may-be-moot As stated in comment #4, there are ways to by pass the android auto logo screen for full control through your phone. On my Nexus 6, I get around it by activating Google Now, then type the name App on the search bar to open it. |
