Camaro SS Options & Weights

Motortrend
[1SS Stripper M6 with only NPP] ... 3672 lbs

R&T
[2SS fully loaded with A8] ... 3760 lbs

Jannetty Racing
[2SS A8 loaded without NPP and sunroof] ...3736 lbs

NPP Dual Mode Exhaust adds 2 lbs

[straight from Al Oppenheiser at FNR L.A.]

Therefore...

Sunroof adds 22 lbs

please add your weigh ins and load outs so we can come up weight added for Magnaride

Thank You So much for this information. Anything on manual transmission 2SS weights? Well, I guess the spread isn't too vast for me to need any other info.
1SS manual + NPP -2lbs = 3670lbs <-- Lightest SS
2SS auto Fully Loaded = 3760 <-- Heaviest SS
-----------------------------------------------------------
Difference = 90 lbs

So..If i were to estimate the weight of a manual 2SS with Manaride + NPP
less than 3738 lbs (fully loaded 2SS auto - sunroof(22lbs))
more than 3672 lbs (base 1SS with NPP)

This one

[2SS A8 loaded without NPP and sunroof] ...3736 lbs

was weighed by Jannetty Racing and had a full tank and is a real customer order production car. The others are magazine weights and while may not be customer orders, we should be able to assume the cars were weighed with full tanks.

A full tank (19 gal for the 2016 camaro) of gasoline weighs roughly 114lbs.

I wonder how much extra magride weighs. I've seen estimates between 15 and 30 lbs.

I don't see how it's 30 pounds...I'd guess 10-15.

I thought it was an extra 5-8lbs per corner?

see what I mean, nobody is sure.
It's going to be a while before we see 2 SS's so closely optioned that the only difference
is magride, and both owners are willing to go and can get the cars to the scales.

I think the closest apples to apples comparison would be their manual 15GT with PP to a manual 2016 1SS with NPP.. "they're" still 90 lbs more, have less hp & torque, not as fun to drive. To be fair, the 1SS will run at least $3K more though.

By "their" I was referring to BMR's R&D '15 Mustang...

So based on that...it sounds to me like the automatic adds roughly 30 pounds. Not too bad.
