its kinda how they current 911 resembles the original but shares nothing. or the real comparison would be the Datsun 280 Z and the redone (but VERY similar) 280 ZX.

I feel like every generation of camaro has brought a significant change in styling. This looks like it could be an update to the 5th generation... it's not bad, but I'd like to see more of a change for the next generation car.
I think the real update for gen 6 will be performance. I have a feeling that the new platform is going to be great. |

I like it. I won't sell out of my Gen5 to get one, but it's a good looking car.

As much as I like my '14, none of the previous iterations of Camaro's really did much for me besides the classics. I think this whole retro thing has really run it's course and frankly, I'm disappointed that it looks so much like the refreshed 5th gens. I like the '15 Mustangs but those too look too similar a typical Mustang. I won't even other with Dodge as it seems Dodge is in their own little world. The C7 was a step in the right direction but, I think Chevrolet could have gone a few steps further.
I really wish we'd see a completely new take on the car without any of those really obnoxious and unrealistic concept drawings and renderings you see floating around. Time to take it completely to the modern level and rework the vehicles from the ground up.

I like it too, especially the slightly shorter platform. What no one has seen even a hint of is the interior features and, as the article hints at, there could be some nice changes in the cabin.
I won't get a '16 but if '17 brings out a special 50th Anniversary edition... I will be very tempted.

I'd say this is pretty close as it's based on the lightly disguised Nurburgring cars. It will be marginally better than the 14-15 in many ways but the overall theme is "evolution" not "revolution". Why mess with a good thing?
As one GM marketing exec told me, "if you like the Gen5, you'll like the Gen6." I like the Gen5.

14-15' have grown on me, would be happy with any 5th gen at this point.
I've got a feeling GM will deliver once again. |
