I went ahead and installed mine through the top as well. Benefits to be seen/had next season I think. I initially thought it was going to be a challenging game of "Tetris" but with one right move it slid into "proper" position for a final adjustment and bolting. I did lose the smaller of the two plastic bolt hole covers into the abyss trying to get that last final piece seated in place while working through the grill. Also note, the hood latch bolt on drivers side gets covered by the unit limiting the ease of that reinstall too. But all and all as stated doable...without a bumper removal

I installed mine today, it was a breeze! Fit and finish is very nice, I just dont know what to do with the two plugs and keep them in, so I shot the developer a question about what he does with them.

I was dreading it tbh, last time I took that radiator support cover off it was a pia, this time it was different. I found pulling out towards the windshield on the passenger side while the drivers side went under the front to be the easiest, if that makes sense. Then big mouth put skinny side in first to the left of the chevy logo then it will wiggle into place.

Nice booher. Got my pb with it yesterday at fall brawl. Had a headwind and da wasn’t as great as the last week but ran hard and got it done. Didn’t run any slower, that’s for sure. I’m happy I didn’t have to fab something ugly

Did multiple changes at once unfortunately. I tried to get a 1for1 but didn’t make it out that weekend

Same with me, I did a bunch of mods at once, so I'm unable to tell. The guy got back to me, basically I asked if I could put a dab of silicone on each plug, just enough to hold it there. If I need to get the plug out, to run a screw into the small hole into the plug and pull it out. He said it was a good idea, so anyone going ahead with this, that's the plan. Just dont use too much silicone as you may want to take them out at some point.

Removing the cover (with no replacement) definitely allows the car to boost sooner and maybe a bit higher. Part throttle is noticeably better/quicker boosting.

Watch the boost needle. Stock everything other than this change.

Well this past weekend at NJMP , my only experience thus far with this unit installed, it certainly did no harm. Lets just leave it at that... because I have no real data. But the seat of my pant and a couple of ears dialed into my normal intake sound says this BIG MOUTH Ram Air Intake Snorkel plus the cool weather came together quite nicely I think. Certainly looking forward to next season on track!!
