i got a reply from Fred at Lockton. hes going to call me to talk a bit but he said it looks like its a go. so now guys can go ahead and secure their spot knowing that insurance will be available. im holding off on blowing this up to all the other car clubs i instruct for and holley. i told you guys i would allow some time and im gonna do that. yall get in there. we are allowing 16 novices, 16 intermediate 1, 30 intermediate solo, 10 advanced solo, 25 lunch parade laps and 10 instructor hot lap rides. we may be drawing for an instructor hot ride or two from the entrants. this will be transferable to a family member or friend.

If we've signed up, do we also need to add lunch parade? I didn't, just novice and hot laps...

Don,
your all good. Any HPDE entrant will be allowed on track during parade laps. you can take any and every person you can get into your car. seat belts are mandatory but thats all. no helmets, all ages.

OK, I'm registered for Intermediate - Solo. Based on your comments above I think Intermediate - Solo will be fine. After watching the video I realized how different the two tracks I've run (WGI and Mosport in Canada) are from a lot of others. Both WGI and Mosport are very fast. At one time they were considered the two fastest road courses in North America. With some of the new tracks I don't know if that's still true.

good stuff guys. we have some great instructors coming. i cant believe the guys that are already registered to help us. im emailing and talking to guys every day to make this fun for us all. ill post that turn by turn but the video is not very good. if you watch the other videos enough to learn the turns, the talk is good. im going to make up some more videos before the event to show the passing zones and stuff. whatever i can do to make it awesome for everyone. its gonna be a cool event.

It all about how bad you want to do this!! 800 miles for me from north of Syracuse NY. I'm going to do the track day Thursday, the Grassroots Motorsports Road Course Challenge Friday and Saturday and generally take in the LS Fest. Never been there before.

We are up on the schedule. It is also going out in the next two e-blasts that NCM sends out. Matt said he told the guy at Holley what we were calling the event and thought it was hilarious good fun lol.
"LS Festivus For The Rest Of Us"
we are running with the theme. we are having the "Feats Of Strength" tech inspection and the "Airing Of Grievances" drivers meeting.
if none of this makes since, search festivus for the rest of us. its all in good fun and all we need is someone to find us a festivus pole lol.

That was one of my favorite shows back in the day and I even got the chance to be in a couple of broadcast scenes which only lasted about 30 seconds but it was fun.
