I'm fine with a V8 hybrid, in fact I would love to see an AWD version.

Boo! They would not let me continue because I correctly indicated that I work for an automotive supplier. :( That is super, super lame.
I am all for hybrid options!

This is exactly why 5 months ago, I did something I never thought I would do...
I bought a 4cylinder Camaro. The times have changed. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve. Small displacement/hybrid is the future.....

They've probably sold more than twice as many V-6 Camaros since 2010 than all the other available power plants combined....Then put out a preference questionnaire to existing owners that doesn't even include the most popular power plant to date as a choice in the future. They must be really starved for data that fits their plans....lol...

Another reasoning for T4 replacing V6 is the amount of torque they output. As found with Mr. Russ's Mazda CX-9, that 2.5 T4 makes 350 lb/ft (provided you're using premium fuel). Same as the new GM 2.7 T4 in the truck making 348 lb/ft. Now, both of these are meant for SUV/Truck applications, so in a performance car those number will change. Even the Mustang and Focus RS make mid-300 tq and thats what most drivers actually feel in a street car. Most people cannot actually have enough road to stretch the legs on engines where the HP can take over.

I like the Cx9 as much as the next person but 7secs to 60mph isnt fast. Pilot is a sec faster so you need to recalibrate that butt dyno.
