24-26 psi cold is what I'd run if you're just out screwing around, even lower if I knew I was going to see some action. Now if you were going a long drive with the family, then I'd bump it up 30-32.

Thanks sir! I found some low hanging fruit in the torque request rate tables that I believe helped my 60ft. It makes the throttle more responsive in the first 40% instead of laggy then hits like a light switch.

Thank you! I don't have a dyno so Dragy and HPt tells me if I am going in the right direction.

I drive normally with the 555r2's around 28-29psi and 23psi hot for dig racing.

Thanks. I am still learning some tricks to help launching on the street.

I run about the same pressure as King, just above where the TPMS light will kick on for low tire pressure. Usually it will kick on about 27 psi.

All kinds of trick or treat

Sport, competitive mode. good burn out, brake stall as high as you can get it if still on the stock stall(2600rpm), let off brake, let it roll out for a second and put it to the floor. I am 37-50% tps for the first 1.5 seconds of the run.

I found that multiplying the Torque request table X2 in gears 1-6 makes it a bit easier to manage the throttle. Also throttle response is greatly improved overall. I tried just maxing it out and it's too aggressive. You might have to play with that table to get a balance of what works best for your combo.

Did you have to somehow turn off the tire psi nanny in the dash to do that?

KingLT1: Is "torque request" = "torque management"? No one has ever explained to me how and why this works.

Back in the "old (bad) days" in the early 2000s, GM's ECU Programming deliberately limited torque and thus power on the Corvette and SSR automatic-equipped vehicles VERY significantly in 1st and 2nd gear, as the 4L60E transmission was only rate for 350 ft lb of engine output (that spec was not publicized in the GM specs on the tranny but was there if you looked in the GM parts catalog), and the Corvette engine used in both the Corvettes and the SSR was rated at 400 ft lb then. When I supercharged my SSR, it quickly burnt up the 4L60E, and I had to get a built tranny from Phoenix Transmissions.

So how does the more modern version of torque management work?

Don't believe there is a tire psi nanny. just hit dismiss twice.

Which exact table is that? 9513, 9515 or ?

thanks

No it's not the same. The ECU system is torque based and there is torque management in several areas, but this does not that. Torque request rate effects how fast the throttle opens and closes. Driver demand requests the amount of torque, then torque request rate is how fast it's delivered vs throttle percentage.

The tables for 9513 were already maxed out....same as my stock file. 9515 is definitely not maxed out.
