Nobody was talking about how great the ZLE is on the street, if anything, in this thread I have pointed out that its not a ride thats for everyone, and only certain people will like it more, but that I like it more because of the DSSV. So for ME, its better on the street (I also have some back roads with very few cars and nice turns to play on when I want to that are around me). It is also true though, you tried talking shit, I just shut that shit down is all....actually, you've tried talking shit twice now, both of which were because you failed to read properly. What my preference is, isn't going to be everyones. I just am not a fan of the regular ZL1, I found it super boring, and over time I discovered it was because I crave the feel of the road that the DSSV provides is all....thats why I had went back to a Z/28 after the regular ZL1, and why I wouldn't ever go with a regular ZL1 again. I am not a super big fan of the spoiler on the ZLE (its actually the reason I got a regular ZL1 the first time), because with my seating position, it blocks the rear view mirror, so I may end up going with a 19+ ZLE with the A10, which is what I had originally been looking for. I didn't pay more for the ZLE personally because I didn't buy it new....I wouldn't buy a new 6th gen of any model, they are too overpriced and not worth it imo. Hell, I'm not even really a fan of what they look like, I'm just a camaro enthusiast is all and have owned over 20 from all gens, even 2nd gen v2, and I HATE the look of 2nd gen v2. Bummer your new ride fell through though.

There's another factor that's being overlooked.
How good are the roads in your area? I'm okay with a stiff car in my hood but wouldn't want to drive it in South Louisiana. Been there, done that.. |

I feel attacked!
hahahahaI've never done a line of coke. I personally never saw the hype around the Z28 especially since it was "Soundly Trounced" (in the words of George W.) by the Ford GT350 which in of itself is utter 'gabbage'. hahahahha |

Those expansion cracks on the highways make for some interesting sound. The ZL1 strikes a pretty good balance. It is ideal for the street, in fact I think it may be even better with a set of the Michelin PS4S tires.

The regular 6th gen ZL1 really is no slouch on the track either. For most people I think it is in fact the better option. Especially if it's your "One and Only" ....and this is coming from a ZL1 1LE owner. Most people aren't taking turns hard enough in the standard ZL1 to induce body roll. If that's you.... and you gotta be honest, then there's no need for the 1LE.
I'm a track rat all the way and I can turn respectable laps so the 1LE was just right for me. It did give me headaches initially until I got used to it. Now I'm immune. |

It would have been cool if the ZL1 1LE was the 6th GEN Z28 instead. Maybe even go a bit further with it to reduce weight. Strip the AC, rear seats, lighter wheels, carbon ceramic brake option, etc.

They didn't do the Z/28 moniker for the ZLE because they wanted to keep that slash for NA, but they scrapped the 6th gen Z/28 project...supposedly it was going to have the C8 Z06 motor in it.

Anyway, yeah, it's dangerous to approach those limits on public roads, you never know if there's some loose gravel or a damp/wet spot in the road that will send you flying off.

Yeah, for the A10. Out of curiosity I just looked up C&D's skidpad for the M6 ZL1 and it Matched the MT result of 1.07g. Not too shabby of a grip range.
